I'm so glad to have found Susan!
"Susan helped me apply for permanent residency based on marriage, adjusting from a nonimmigrant visa. A fairly simple matter, however, to my husband and I, it was incredibly important. Susan 'held our hand' through the entire journey, and gave our case prompt attention at each step along the way. Dealing with the USCIS can be a stressful process, however, Susan answered all our questions, was honest and open with us, and helped put our worries at ease. Whenever we had a question, Susan was incredibly quick to respond by email, and phone, when needed. She was very accessible, which was very important to us. She is extremely knowledgeable on all things immigration. Susan thoroughly prepared and filed our application promptly. As a result, we received no requests for further evidence from the USCIS along the way. She attended our USCIS interview with us and was incredibly helpful in putting out nerves at ease on the day. In the end, I received my green card a mere three months after filing. I cannot recommend Susan enough. We are so incredibly happy to have found her, and look forward to seeing her again when we remove conditions."

Work Permit for Yadira
Susan is an amazing lawyer and great friend to my wife and I. I am thankful for her. She made us feel like we had a special place in her heart. For out first consultation, she made us feel like we just needed to wait for the right time to help my wife gain legal status in the US. She also went out of her way to explain our situation and what we needed to be cautious of. Susan contacted me the via email personally after I reached out to her for help when my it looked like my wife could be approved for DACA. From that point on, she held our hands through an anxious, and monumental, process. Yes, there were times with her firm that we felt like we were being held a little too much in the dark, but then Susan would come in and make everything right. That's really all we could ask for during our process; to feel we mattered and were going to be taken care of.

Temporary Visa USA

The non-immigrant (temporary visa) visa classification covers a broad range of visas used to enter the United States for work, pleasure, study, medical treatment, business purpose, students, athletic, temporary workers, religious worker, and government officials, etc. Some visas are considered 'dual status'; you may attempt to obtain permanent residency (a green card) while under that classification.

Most non-immigrant visas or temporary visa, however, require you establish the demonstration of non-immigrant intent. This means you should demonstrate that you have a permanent residence in your home country that you have no intention of abandoning. The duration of time you may spend in the US can range from a few days to several years, depending on the visa. In most situations, your spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 may accompany you on a derivative visa.

Permanent Immigration Visa

Permanent immigration (green card) is the ultimate goal of many people entering or planning to enter the United States. Lawful permanent residency offers individuals a multitude of benefits, including the freedom to live and work permanently in the US. Potential immigrants should be as informed about the laws as possible. That's why our firm is dedicated to providing you with a complete online database of immigration information. A person is granted a permanent resident card, commonly called a green card. The steps to become a permanent resident are different for each category and will depend on if you are currently living inside or outside the United States. The main categories are listed belo:

  • Green Card Through Family
  • Green Card Through a Job
  • Green Card Through Refugee or Asylum Status
  • Other Ways to Get a Green Card

Deportation Defense

If the DHS believes that you should be removed or deported from the United States, or an individual is found "inadmissible" to the United States, the DHS will issue a piece of paper called a "Notice to Appear" or "NTA" which initiates court proceedings to determine if an individual is removable, deportable or inadmissible from the United States. An Immigration Judge presides over these court proceedings which are held at US Immigration Courts across the country. These are formal court hearings and should be taken very seriously as your immigration record may be permanently affected and you can be physically deported from the United States. Only an Immigration Judge can determine if you are removable, deportable or inadmissible and whether you have relief from removal. If the Immigration Judge denies relief, you may appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). The BIA has jurisdiction over decisions made by Immigration Judges. Deportation affects people who are already in the United States, either legally or illegally by forcing them to leave. We can help from the very beginning of a deportation cases.
